(Big Rapids, MI) – Tracy Ruell, a resident of Big Rapids and respected community volunteer, is proud to announce her campaign for Michigan State Representative District 100. Ruell is excited to run a campaign focused on building a stronger local economy, protecting individual freedoms, and championing rights for all Michiganders.
Tracy was born and raised in Big Rapids, where she learned the value of hard work and resilience from her family's farm. The farm's operations were shut down because of the PBB contamination crisis, showing her firsthand why environmental and public health issues matter. Despite this setback, she forged a path forward, starting her career at McDonald's at age 16. Over the course of 20 years, Tracy worked her way up from cashier to leading teams, opening new stores, and managing multiple restaurants.
Tracy then served in a critical operations and scheduling role at Meijer's corporate office. While working her way up the corporate ladder, she built a strong family foundation with her husband, Rob, whom she married in 1996. The couple have two adult children and run a thriving local business - International Insulation Fabricator's Inc.
Tracy's dedication to her community extends beyond her professional life. She is an active member of her church, has volunteered with Angels of Action, and has served with distinction as a member of the Big Rapids Rotary Club.
When discussing her decision to run for the State House, Tracy stated: "Through my experiences, I've seen firsthand the challenges and opportunities facing our community. I'm ready to bring my knowledge and leadership skills to Lansing and advocate for our district's needs."
As a State Representative, Tracy Ruell is committed to:
Building our local economy: Ensuring that the Gotion Project creates local jobs and opportunities for economic growth.
Protecting individual freedoms: Advocating for women to be able to make their own healthcare decisions and supporting LGBTQ+ rights.
Championing community initiatives: Working for every member of the community and improving the quality of life in the district.
Tracy Ruell is looking forward to rolling up her sleeves and working hard for the people of District 100. For more information about Tracy Ruell's campaign, please visit www.RuellforRep.com or follow her at @ElectTracyRuell, on Instagram, and Facebook.
